As a Fresher, getting to know students in higher years can be really helpful if you have any questions about anything to do with starting Vet School (How much work do I need to do outside teaching? Do I really need to buy all those text books? Where is the supermarket? How do I work the washing machine? What is the best place to go out on a Wednesday night?)

 

This scheme pairs each Fresher with a student in second year so you have a point of contact with any questions no matter how small AND a range of socials to help you get acquainted!
 

We believe this is one of the most worthwhile shemes you can get involved in during your first year at Nottingham Vet School. Through it, we can offer you student-to-student support and great socials.

 

 

How to join the Big Vet Little Vet scheme:

 

Any student joining the Vet School in September can join the scheme, regardless of whether you are joining the 5 year or 6 year course and you do not need a VetSoc membership.

Once you have done this, your Big Vet will get in touch with you prior to Fresher's Week with more information.
