NEVS

Nottingham Equine VetSoc Subdivision

Who We Are

NEVS is Clinical Club subdivision of VetSoc with a focus on all things equine medicine and surgery! We aim to bring undergrad equine veterinary teaching one step closer to what is essential for our future vets when they enter practice. We are committed to providing extra talks, trips and information for students who want to go into the equine field, and to bridge that gap that inevitably occurs between what we’re taught in lectures and working in real life practice. Not only do we aim to provide extra sessions on the academic side of things but also to hold social and fun events for all those of you with an equine interest.

Our plans for 2017/2018, which are already well underway include:

- Talks and case studies on all things equine medicine and surgery

- Practical sessions and workshops both at the Vet school and at local veterinary practices

- Debates on up relevant and contentious issues relevant to equine practitioners

- Talks from resident and other specialist equine vets on career opportunities and pathways

We are a very friendly society and aim to have something for everyone, from the super equine keen to those of you who are not yet sure – we look forward to seeing you at some of our events!
